Wrinkle Relaxers & Skin Injections
30 min duration | Starting at $11/unit
Bye Bye Wrinkles, Lines, Crow’s Feet and 11s
Reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles for a smoother, more refreshed look.
How it works...
Beneath every wrinkle is a muscle nerve. We inject micro-doses of neuromodulators into the end of that nerve to temporarily block – or freeze – its impulses and allow the facial muscles to relax. The result? Skin that's softer-looking, smoother, renewed.
Why we love it
When artfully administered, neuromodulators give skin a renewed, smoothed-out appearance that looks natural. This FDA approved treatment has been used medically since the 1970s, so we know it’s safe. It's highly effective with zero downtime.
Neurotoxins also have several medical indictions, such as helping reduce excessive sweating and helping with TMJ clenching, grinding and related headaches. Other neurotoxins such as Xeomin & Jeuveau help relax wrinkles and fine lines.

Neurotoxin Pre & Post Treatment Tips
-
1) If you wear makeup to your appointment, we'll need to remove it before your treatment in order to get a clean canvas.
2) Nervous for your first time? Bring a friend! If your friend is also new to Yuva Med Spa you'll both be eligible for special pricing!
3) Be sure to have your daily workout before your treatment, since we don’t recommend any exercise for 24 hours afterwards.
4) You can get right back to work after your treatment, but we recommend leaving yourself an hour of time to avoid being stressed or rushed.
5) You are not a candidate for these injections if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
-
1) Avoid lying down (or doing a downward dog) for 4 hours after your procedure.
2) Wait 24 hours before going back to the gym or yoga class – or any kind of exercise, really.
3) Avoid facials and facial muscle manipulation (vigorous rubbing or facial massage) for two weeks after treatment.
4) Expect to see full results by two weeks. Plan on a follow up visit at that time to assess results and goals. If needed, more units can be injected at this appointment.
-
Pay for a desired outcome and what’s right for you in regards to which medication is used and how it is placed. The amount of medication that you need to meet your goals is what will be used. Pricing is based on how you want to look and feel and what the injector thinks is best for you. Pricing is simple, straightforward, and allows customers to still use their company rewards.
If extra units are injected, they are priced per unit. If a client prefers per unit pricing, that remains an option still.
On average, anywhere from 40-60 units may be needed to treat your facial wrinkles.
-
If you have limited lines and are using neuromodulators preventatively, usually less units are needed. However, everyone is different and this can be discussed at your consultation visit.
-
In order to assess your lines & wrinkles and provide the injections, the skin needs to be clean in the area we’re going to treat. If you wear makeup to your appointment, we’ll need to remove it before your treatment.
-
After your treatment: No lying down for 4 hours; no exercise/working out for 24 hours; no facials for 2 weeks.
-
You sure can! The great thing about this treatment is there's virtually no downtime. You might have small red bumps that look like bug bites at first, but they usually go away within the hour and you can waltz back into work with no one the wiser. Sometimes folks bruise and may have minor bleeding. We recommend avoiding treatment just prior to any major event just in case!
-
Noticeable results should appear around 3 to 5 days. Skin starts to feel tighter; you should see less movement and wrinkling in the injected areas. It can take up to 2 weeks to see the full results. If you have static lines & wrinkles, they may begin to lessen over time and with repeated treatments. Static lines are not meant to disappear instantaneously with these injections!
-
Just like everyone’s hair grows at its own pace, everyone's results last for different lengths of time. But typically, you can expect results to last 2.5-4 months.
-
Again, everyone's different. Some people choose to let results wear off completely and then come back for another treatment when ready. But if you want to come back in 3 months, we'd love to see you.
-
Your body metabolizes the neuromodulator over 3-4 months and flushes it out of your system as muscle movement gradually returns.
-
Beneath every wrinkle is a muscle nerve. Neuromodulators work by blocking the muscle nerve's signals that control its impulses. Injecting small doses of neuromodulators allows the facial muscles to relax, minimizing the look of wrinkles and giving you that smoother, softer look you're after.
-
While it's pretty low on the pain threshold, you will feel the pokes of the tiny needle.
-
It can happen, but in our experience, not very often. This type of result is very rare. This undesirable outcome, however unlikely, is fortunately both temporary and addressable.
-
Headache, minor bruising or swelling at the injection site are the most common but still rare side effects. Others are much less common, but we're happy to discuss them with you during consultation if you're concerned.
-
We recommend avoiding neuromodulator treatments during pregnancy and while nursing.
-
Pregnant or nursing women, those allergic to cow’s milk protein or eggs (for Botox), those with neurological disease or those who have previously had allergic reactions to neurotoxins should avoid these injections.
